Welcome to RaceLog+. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and Privacy Policy govern your access to and use of the RaceLog+ website and services (the "Service"), operated by RaceLogPlus ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use the Service.

Terms & Conditions

1. About RaceLog+

RaceLog+ is a personal athlete platform for logging race history, tracking achievements, and connecting with other athletes across endurance sports (running, triathlon, swimrun, open water swimming, duathlon, aquathlon, Hyrox, and similar events).

RaceLog+ is not a training platform. It does not track workouts, GPS routes, or training plans. It is intended as a record of races and events you have completed or plan to complete, along with related achievements, photos, and reviews.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information (name, country, sports, etc.) and to keep it up to date.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for extended periods, or are used in a way that could harm the Service or other users.

4. User Content

"User Content" includes any information, data, race results, photos, bios, comments, or other material you submit to RaceLog+.

  • You retain ownership of your User Content.
  • By submitting User Content, you grant RaceLog+ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content within the Service (e.g., on your profile, in the activity feed, in shareable achievement cards) for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
  • You confirm that you have the right to upload any photos or content you submit, and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.
  • We may remove content that violates these Terms, is unlawful, offensive, or infringes on someone else's rights, without prior notice.

5. Race Data Accuracy — Disclaimer

RaceLog+ relies on user-submitted information for race results, times, rankings, event details, and related data. While we aim to keep the platform useful and accurate:

  • We do not verify the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of race results, achievements, or other information submitted by users.
  • Official results, rankings, and event details should always be confirmed with the official race organizer or timing provider.
  • RaceLog+ is provided for personal record-keeping and community purposes only and should not be treated as an official or legal record of athletic performance.
  • We are not responsible for disputes between users regarding race participation, results, or achievements.

6. Community Conduct

RaceLog+ includes social features (profiles, connections, activity feed, comments, reviews). By using these features, you agree not to:

  • Harass, bully, impersonate, or threaten other users.
  • Post false, misleading, defamatory, hateful, or offensive content.
  • Use the platform to spam, advertise unrelated services, or scrape data.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the security of the Service.

We reserve the right to remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts of users who violate this section.

7. Event Reviews

RaceLog+ may allow users to post reviews and ratings of races and events. Reviews must reflect genuine personal experience. We are not responsible for the opinions expressed in reviews and do not endorse any views shared by users. Event organizers are not affiliated with RaceLog+ unless explicitly stated.

8. Intellectual Property

The RaceLog+ name, logo, design, and platform code are the property of RaceLogPlus, except where otherwise noted. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works of the Service without permission.

9. Service Availability

RaceLog+ is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. As a growing platform, the Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • RaceLog+ is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of access, or reliance on inaccurate information submitted by other users.
  • Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users (e.g., via email or a notice on the platform). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which RaceLogPlus is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence (including the UK and Brazil).

Privacy Policy

1. What Information We Collect

When you use RaceLog+, we may collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, country, password (encrypted).
  • Profile information: bio, profile photo, sports practiced.
  • Race data: events, dates, locations, results, times, splits, and related details you enter.
  • Photos: race photos, bib numbers, medals, or finisher photos you upload.
  • Social data: connections with other users, activity feed interactions.
  • Technical data: basic usage data necessary for the Service to function (e.g., login sessions).

We do not collect location tracking, GPS data, or training data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Display your profile, race history, and achievements to other users (depending on your visibility settings).
  • Power social features such as connections and the activity feed.
  • Send important account-related emails (e.g., email confirmation, password reset).
  • Improve and maintain the Service.

Communications. Essential service emails (such as email confirmation, password resets, and important account, security, or legal notices) are necessary to operate your account and are sent while your account is active. We will only send optional, non-essential communications — such as product-update newsletters or feature announcements — where you have agreed to receive them, and you will be able to opt out of these at any time.

3. Who Can See Your Information

  • Public/visible to other users: name, profile photo, country, sports, bio, race history, and achievements (this is core to the platform's purpose as an athlete profile and achievement tracker).
  • Visible only to you: account email and password.
  • Visible to connections: activity feed updates may be visible to users you are connected with.

You should only submit information and photos that you are comfortable sharing within the RaceLog+ community.

4. Data Storage and Third-Party Services

RaceLog+ uses the following third-party service providers to operate:

  • Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) — data may be stored on servers managed by Supabase.
  • Netlify (website hosting).
  • Email delivery provider (for account confirmation and notification emails).

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security practices. We do not sell your personal information to third parties or use it for advertising.

5. International Data Transfers

As RaceLog+ serves users in the UK, Brazil, and internationally, your data may be processed or stored in countries other than your country of residence. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is protected in line with this Privacy Policy, regardless of where it is processed.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When an account is deleted — whether by you (via your account settings, or by contacting us at privacy@racelogplus.com) or by an administrator (for example, for a breach of these Terms) — it is immediately deactivated and held for a 30-day recovery period, during which it can be restored on request. After 30 days, your profile, race data, connections, and activity are permanently erased and cannot be recovered, except where limited retention is required for legal or legitimate operational reasons.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including under UK GDPR and Brazil's LGPD), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

8. Data Security and Breach Notification

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected users without undue delay, as required by applicable law.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

RaceLog+ may use browser local storage to remember preferences (such as language settings). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

RaceLog+ is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to users via email or a notice on the platform.
